Children's nursery garden project - Cromarty
This nursery garden had become overgrown with weeds and brambles and there was a crumbling B-listed standstone wall that was in need of serious restoration.
We were commissioned to create a garden which was stimulating, safe and playful. We started by repairing the B-listed sand stone wall with traditional lime restoration methods. We then went on to lay a continuous, meandering pathway which surrounded a 'teletubbie' grass mound in the centre.
On the other side of the pathway, a grass lawn was laid and a bark play area was created with tyres in it to play in. A planting bed was prepared to provide the children with the opportunity to grow their own plants. The two seals which were chained-saw carved were given the perfect home.
